Your journey begins in Tallinn, where you will have a chance to explore one of Europe’s most charming cities, with highlights including visits to the onion-domed Russian Orthodox Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the fascinating interactive Estonian Maritime Museum and the 15th century Raeapteek, Europe’s oldest apothecary.
In Latvia wander amongst artworks at the Sigulda open air sculpture park set amidst dramatic castle ruins, acquaint yourself with the medieval and romantic architecture Riga’s Old Town and the Art Nouveau enclave, including the magnificent Dome Cathedral, Liv Square and the Convent Yard, and enjoy an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the majestic Latvian Opera.
Last stop is Vilnius with its many architectural delights. Admire the incredible Vilnius Cathedral and the grandeur of the Presidential Palace, the 14th century island castle at Trakai, built in the middle of one of the region’s most picturesque lakes, and visit the remains of a 13th century city at the UNESCO World Heritage listed Kernavė, with its complex ensemble of archaeological strata including forts, unfortified settlements and burial sites.
