“This London movie tour teaches fascinating facts about the controversial mystery murder bestseller and its subsequent release as a movie. The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown was a controversial mystery murder bestseller of 2003. While studying art history in Spain, Dan learnt about hidden symbols in Leonardo Da Vinci’s paintings. Consequently the idea of a thriller that pivots off hidden clues was born with Robert Langdon, a Harvard professor and Sophie Neveu at the centre.
When a world renowned scientist is found savagely murdered, Robert is summoned to identify the mysterious symbol seared on the dead man’s chest. His conclusion: it is the work of the illuminati, a secret brotherhood presumed extinct for nearly four hundred years – now reborn to continue their bitter vendetta against their sworn enemy.
The murder took place in the Louvre, Paris but unravelled to mythical places in the UK. The Da Vinci Code Tour of London will take you on a 2 ½ hour walk around central London to unravel the mystery of Dan Brown’s best seller. As you get to the bottom of the Da Vinci Code you will see many famous landmarks along the way including: Whitehall, Trafalgar Square and The Church Temple, where it is believed a group of Templars Knights are buried, plus Sir Isaac Newton tomb at Westminster Abbey.
“In London lies a knight a Pope interred. His labour’s fruit a Holy wrath incurred. You seek the orb that ought to be on his tomb. It speaks of Rosy flesh and seeded womb.”
The Da Vinci Code Tour of London starts at Temple Tube Station and finishes at Westminster Abbey where you can choose to go inside the abbey at your own leisure.
