Absolutely the best London explorer this year
“LONDON EXPLORER, Life’s an adventure – make it count and see more, do more, live more with absolutely #NOREGRETS.” ~ Contiki
Every worldly wise traveller knows that London is where it’s at. And if you want to explore the English capital city on a self-guided package then you simply must chat to Contiki and book a London Explorer. It’s a great opportunity for any young enthusiastic person to meet like-minded people!
Personally for me, travelling is about connecting, that is meeting like minded people. And what better way to do this than with Contiki Meetups. This is where the fun starts. Your Contiki MeetUp is just for you and others on your London Explorer trip and has a heap of snazzy features you won’t find in any old forum! Chat before you go and get to know who you’re going with, share travel tips and advice & countdown to your adventures. You can also add photos and comments to your MeetUp while on your trip. They’ll be saved in timeline order and can only be seen by others you are travelling with – pretty cool huh?
With London Explorer you can spend time in London discovering museums, shopping on Oxford Street or Harrods, eating a curry on Brick Lane, listening to some of the hottest music coming out of England’s famous nightlife, or seeing a West End show. From the dancing sensation ‘Billy Elliot’ to rocking it out to Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You’ there is something for everyone.
London explorer countryside
You’ll see more of the English countryside on an included day trip to the mythical boulders of Stonehenge. Get up close to these structures as you get a feel for the area & learn about its history. You’ll also stop by the cute little Somerset town of Bath with its little side streets & shops. Take a guided tour of the city’s most famous attraction, the Roman Baths, where you’ll see steaming water & learn about the history of this site. Bath is also famous as the home of the Sally Lunn bun’s, so maybe see if you can try one while you’re there.
Back in London, for a historical fix, jump on the Tube & maybe make your way to the Tower of London. Take a guided tour with one of the Yeoman Warders around one of the most famous fortified buildings in the world. You could also try the British Museum, National Gallery, the Tate or jump on the London Eye for amazing city views.
Contiki Representatives in central London are on hand to help you out with any sightseeing info and tips you may require regarding the London Explorer so you never have to stress.
